BJP wins Guwahati Municipal Corporation election, 2022

BJP claims big victory in GMC election,2022 with the alliance of AGP (Axom Gana Parishad),the regional party of Assam. Already, out of the total 60 wards of GMC, BJP had won 3 wards uncontested. It may be mentioned here that the GMC election was held after 9 years. Earlier the GMC election was conducted in the year of 2013, where the Congress Party had won it. In this election, BJP recorded a historic victory. According to the results declared today of this election held on 22nd April, 2022, BJP won 56 seats, AGP 6, AAP and AJP (Axom Jatiya Parishad), the another regional Party of Assam, won one seat each. The most important thing about this election was that no Congress candidate was successful to win any seat. The result of the election was as follows-
