He was arrested in a case over tweet done by him against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He was rearrested on 25<sup>th<\/sup> of April on the charge of \u2018assaulting and outraging\u2019 the modesty of a woman police officer, which was held four days ago. According to the FIR registered on the same day in Barpeta Road police station, the alleged incident occurred took place when the officer was escorting the Dalit leader from Guwahati airport to\u00a0\u00a0 Kokrajhar along with additional Superintendent of Police Surjeet Singh Panesar.
