Guwahati Municipal Corporation election today

GMC (Guwahati Municipal Corporation, Assam) election will be held today on 22.04.2022. The fate of 197 candidates will be decided by 7,97,807 voters across 57 wards. It is to be mentioned that out of 60 wards of GMC, BJP candidates have already won in 3 wards. Voters will cast their vote at 757 polling stations, including all 80 women stations. Voting has been started at 7.30 am and voters will be allowed to enter polling station premises till 4.30 pm. Counting of votes will take place on 24.04.2022. Around 3,500 government employees have been engaged in the election process.
