Gujrat MLA Jignesh Mevani rearrested in Guwahati

After a bail granted by a court Gujraat independent MLA Jignesh Mevani is rearrested. He was arrested in a case over tweet done by him against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He was rearrested on 25^th of April on the charge of ‘assaulting and outraging’ the modesty of a woman police officer, which was held four days ago. According to the FIR registered on the same day in Barpeta Road police station, the alleged incident occurred took place when the officer was escorting the Dalit leader from Guwahati airport to   Kokrajhar along with additional Superintendent of Police Surjeet Singh Panesar. Mevani was granted bail for his first case,but he was shown rearrested for the second one.
